Rouhad Ahamd Ezzeddine identified as killer in Fort Hood murder suicide leaving 2 kids dead
Military officials are now identifying the victims in the Fort Hood murder suicide which left a man and his two children dead.
Officials stated Thursday evening that Rouhad Ahamd Ezzeddine (Rihad Ezzeddine), age 43, murdered his two daughters: Leila Rouhad Ezzeddine, age 9, and Zeinab Rouhad Ezzeddine, age 4.
Their bodies were discovered by the man’s wife, Pfc. Carla Santisteban, age 33, who recently returned home from a deployment to Afghanistan iwth the 15th Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division as a nurse.
“This is a terrible tragedy for the mother and families of these children. We are doing everything possible to care for the family in this time of profound grief and loss,” said Maj. Gen. Anthony Ierardi, Fort Hood senior commander and commanding general 1st Cavalry Division.
Ezzeddine is from Lebanon and his wife, Peru. The daughters will be buried in Peru while their father will be buried his Lebanese home town Kafra.
Autopsies are being conducted by the Office of the Armed Forces Medical Examiner, the Army said.
