Missing Iowa man Denis Maric identified as dead body found in Black Hawk County
Iowa Investigators have identified a body found in Black Hawk County as a missing Waterloo man, Denis Maric.
The Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office said Maric’s body was found in a wooded area about 200 yards from the parks entrance Friday and confirmed that no foul play is suspected.
Maric, 23, was first reported missing on Thursday by family members, last seen on February 11.
Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call for a suspicious vehicle at the Turkey Ridge Wildlife Area in the 8900 Block of Winslow Road on Friday.
Deputies discovered the vehicle matched the description of a vehicle being driven by the missing man. As Deputies started to search the area, they found a body matching the description of Maric.
Turkey Ridge is a former gravel quarry between Janesville and Finchford.

Maric weighs 170 pounds and is 5 foot 8 inches tall. He has green eyes, blonde hair, and a tattoo of a rose on his neck.
Authorities believe Maric may be driving a silver Hyundai Elantra with license plate FOW371.
Family members say he has been depressed and possibly suicidal.
