Capt Wild Bill Wichrowski previews ‘Deadliest Catch’ season 11, new clarity
The Deadliest Catch returns on Discovery Channel and Captain “Wild Bill” Wichrowski is promoting an exciting eleventh season, speaking with Dispatch Radio in this exclusive interview about what fans can expected, his relationship with his son Zack, goals for the future and why this season will be even better.
Jokingly, Bill begins by explaining the nickname, which came along way before Deadliest Catch, “it’s carried on well,” he says.
Sure there will be excitement, with a ton of unexpected and difficult challenges, but “Wild Bill” promises it’s going to be “So much sharper, so much clearer – we new cameras,” praising the better quality and commitment from Discovery.
Discovery is heavily promoting season 11, noting that “the captains face the most deadly weather yet – a super typhoon, massive storms and sub-zero temperatures…” check out the full teaser video below.
Catch is in its 11th season and times have changed, “Wild Bill” explains, citing “HR departments” versus the “Wild West of the past,” in the handling of a crew.
One of the most interesting “plot points” is the addition of his son and Bill reveals how committed he is to “get Zack in the wheelhouse.”
Deadliest Catch is still one of the most popular reality shows, last season’s premiere was #1 in its time slot and the season finale of Deadliest Catch averaged an amazing 1.11 million female viewers!
