Alabama homicide suspect, Jamal Hamilton arrested for killing Perry Fields
Police in Mobile, Alabama have arrested the key suspect in a Thursday night fatal shooting which left Perry Steven Fields Jr. dead.
Jamal Hamilton, 28, was arrested and charged with murder on Friday.
Fields, 39, was killed around 5:17 p.m.Thursday at the Berkshire Arms Apartments, located at the intersection of Cresthaven Drive and Seabreeze Drive.
WKRG published a CCTV video from a nearby laundry mat showing the commotion of people running outside as gun fire rang out.
“In the video, you can see multiple people coming out of the door and there appears to be commotion. Then shortly after, cars driving towards that building begin to turn around. A white car speeds off in another direction,” they noted.
Fields’ brother identified the victim on Thursday ahead of police making any news official.
Police officials are treating this as an ongoing investigation.
