X-Men: Days of Future Past draws closer and the stars have spoken out on different topics, their characters, the future of the franchise etc..

x-men-days-of-future-past-james-mcavoy-patrick stewart face offIn an interview with IGN, star James McAvoy unloaded a ton of information about the movie and revealed that the relationship between young Professor X and young Magneto (Michael Fassbender) is far worse than fans may have realized.

“Yeah, well, it’s pretty dire, their relationship, to put it softly. I’d go so far as to say that Charles f#@king hates him,” McAvoy said. “And it’s about exploring the things that were built up in Bryan’s previous movies with Patrick [Stewart] and Ian [McKellen], about these two people who were obviously on a very similar path at one point, and then some mega s#!t went down. And now they find themselves as adversaries. Well, this movie and the end of the last movie is an exploration of that s#!t that went down. But again, they are in lots of ways very, very similar. They can’t help but relate to each other, be drawn to each other, because they should be friends. It’s just the fact that they come from different camps, and they have slightly different approaches to getting the same thing.”

While Bryan Singer teased another trailer and more footage here, Hugh Jackman told IGN that recasting Wolverine is “inevitable.”

Hugh jackman as Wolverine Days future past“Look, that’s inevitable, man. Anyone who thinks they’re indispensable in this business is fooling themselves. But I feel unbelievably blessed to have this part. I never thought in a million years I’d get to play him seven times. Every day I walk on the set with the claws and the hair, I thank my lucky stars. I don’t take any of it for granted. To think that in a second version we’d have this cast and this director, and you guys don’t know the script, but I would say probably the best script of all of them, is pretty amazing. I think that’s why I’m still here. I’m sure by the way, that it won’t always be my decision to always be here. At some point, someone will close the door on me… [Laughs]”
