T.O.N.E.-z talks ‘Justified’ season 5, new song ‘Boom,’ music and the caucasian Dr Dre
T.O.N.E.-z is first ever rapper to be nominated for an Emmy Award with Long Hard Times To Come, the unforgettable theme song to the hit show Justified.
His latest song, Boom, is featured in the Justified season 5 premeire – watch the video below.
“It’s a nice jump off,” he says during an interview with The Global Dispatch of having the song in the first episode. He discusses working with Rench and their unique sound – Gangstagrass.
T.O.N.E.-z discusses appearing in a couple of the Justified episodes (one in season 3, one in season 4) alongside Mykelti Williamson, who played Limehouse. T.O.N.E.-z plays Barnes, one of his henchmen.
The discussion returns to music, his projects, the inspiration of Michael Jackson and Jim Morrison. Lastly, T.O.N.E.-z drops a great story about the collaboration of an East Coast artist with a West Coast producer, which leads to his nicknamed for his producer – The Caucasian Dre.
