Sylvester Stallone tweets Mickey Rourke set to return for ‘Expendables 3’
Mickey Rourke declared he wouldn’t return for a third Expendables film, but that appears to have changed with recent updates from the coordinator himself.
Sylvester Stallone has confirmed Thursday on twitter that Mickey Rourke will indeed return for the Expendables threequel, which we now know will be directed by Patrick Hughes.
The iconic action star also dropped a few more updates on what (and who) we can expect to see.
Wesley Snipes is excited, Rourke is back and Stallone teases Antonio Banderas, a new name to the mix of rumors. Jackie Chan’s name is dropped as well. Back in November Nic Cage was confirmed by Sly as well.
Stallone also mentions that they’re going to try to top The Raid.
Jason Statham, Jet Li and Dolph Lundgren are all set to join Stallone and, while it is still NOT official, everything still points to a fall (August) 2014 release.
