San Jose handyman kidnapped, beaten and forced to repair dishwasher
Santa Clara sheriffs arrested a two people in connection with the kidnapping and assault of a 50-year-old San Jose handyman who was forced to make a multitude of repairs around their house, according to a Santa Clara Sheriff’s Office press release Dec. 4.
According to authorities, Jason DeJesus, 36 and Chanelle Troedson, 33 of Morgan Hill lured the unsuspecting handyman, who did work for them two months ago in which there was a dispute, into a house on the 200 block of Caldwell Court in Morgan Hill.
Upon arriving to the residence, the pair immediately assaulted, threatened to kill and held the handyman against his will.
He was then forced to perform several hours’ worth of repairs, including repairing a dishwasher and a door in the house.
DeJesus and Troedson then forced the handyman into a pick-up and drove him to the original house where he did work for them. There he was forced to complete work not finished two months ago.
The unidentified man, certainly shakened up by the events, managed to escape and call for help.
San Jose Police located the duo and took them into custody. Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived later and charged them with a plethora of felonies to include False Imprisonment, Kidnapping, Assault w/a Deadly Weapon, Criminal Threats, and Conspiracy.
