Nathan Fillion and Eva Longoria rumored to be Ant-Man and the Wasp in ‘The Avengers,’ but is it true
Nathan Fillion looks like a sure-thing to play Ant-Man in the upcoming “Avengers” film. He has a good luck charm on his side, Joss Whedon, whom he worked with on “Firefly” and “Serenity”. Supposedly he is in final negotiations, but no official casting just yet.
Concerning Ant-Man’s wife, ComicBookMovie has received word from a source that “Desperate Housewives” star Eva Longoria will play Janet Van Dyne, aka The Wasp.
Keep posted as San Diego Comic Con is approaching soon and we should have all of these questions answered by then.
Ace Showbiz notes “Eva has been previously linked to the role since she was spotted leaving Marvel Studios with a copy of The Avenger comic book in 2008 and “a well trusted source close to” the studio has affirmed it. The source also informs that Nathan is currently in final negotiations for a multi film deal that will be initiated with “The Avengers” which will is planned to be released in the U.S. on May 4, 2012.”
