Community rallies support, funds for children of Mario Vanzetta, Stephanie Vanzetta

A New York murder suicide left three children without parents and now the community is rallying to raise funds for these kids and their future.

Family and friends are working hard to take care of the children and to raise funds through a GoFundMe account to help support them in the years to come and to cover their college expenses.

Mario Vanzetta, killed his wife, Stephanie Vanzetta, 41, and them himself, leaving behind a teenage daughter and two younger sons.

All of the money donated will be put into an account for the children and used only for their needs, said the organizer of the fund, Adrienne Bono, on behalf of Stephanie Vanzetta’s brother Michael Helbig.

“Because their father was the breadwinner, he carried the life insurance policy,” Bono wrote. “Due to his suicide, the kids may not be able to cash the policy.”

From the GoFundMe started on October 27:

Yesterday morning, my friend Stephanie was murdered by her husband in a murder/suicide incident.  Last night 3 little kids went to sleep…. devastated, confused, and in a pain no child is equipped to endure.  Because their father was the breadwinner, he carried the life insurance policy. Due to his suicide, the kids may not be able to cash the policy.  Im doing this GOFUND to help my best friend, Michael Helbig (Stephanie’s brother) raise money for his 2 nephews and his niece.  Please help in anyway you can.  These kids have a very long road ahead and many things to face in the years to come.  Any amount will be highly appreciated.  Every single dollar is going to the kids and deposited straight into an acct for them.
