Rep. Keith Ellison calls Sean Hannity: ‘The worst excuse for a journalist I’ve ever seen’
From the minute the segment started on the Hannity television program last night, fists were flying between U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) (See the fireworks here).
Right out the gate, Ellison blamed Hannity of “yellow journalism” and being “unethical”. In addition, Ellison went on to accuse Hannity of violating “every journalistic ethic I have ever heard of”.
He later called the host “a shill for the Republican Party.”
This led to a back and forth about whether Hannity was a registered Republican or a registered conservative, as the host proclaims. It even got to the point where Hannity tried to bet the Democratic Congressman.
Very few, if any questions of substance were asked as Ellison went on a rant for the majority of the segment.
Hannity did attempt to ask a question later in the segment that began with, “Is it immoral…,” Ellison snapped, “You are immoral.”
Finally the host gave up saying, “Congressman, you are a total waste of time. We’re moving on, because our audience deserves better.”
