‘Pushing Daisies’ star Lee Pace says ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ villain is a ‘psycho’
Talking with Click Online to discuss the upcoming Hobbit film, Lee Pace spoke about his role in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Pace will play the villain called Ronan the Accuser.
“He’s a f***ing psycho!” laughs Pace. “He’s a real monster. I’ve had the best time playing this character. I’m glad it’s all on film, [as] I never thought I could be so nuts in it!”
The character is a member of the Kree race, part of the Accuser Corps, a military group of governors and jurists.
“James Gunn is just putting together a phenomenal movie,” says the ‘Hobbit’ star, “and I’ve had the best time working with him on it. And yeah, we’ve made a monster of an alien!”
The film also features Benicio Del Toro as The Collector.
“For example, they told you ‘Now you have to go in this restaurant and kill this person,’” says Del Toro about his character.
“And then you ask: ‘Who? The blue haired girl, or the guy with the wig?’ And you don’t get the answer.”
The film co-stars Chris Pratt, Dave Batista and Zoe Saldana with Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper lending their voices to CGI characters.
Guardians Of The Galaxy will open in theaters on August 1, 2014.
