Cop killers Jerad Miller, Amanda Miller linked to anarchists and Cliven Bundy

The Las Vegas couple who gunned down two police officers and a civilian before killing themselves apparently looked at law enforcement as oppressors, a sheriff’s department official said Monday. One of the murderers was part of the group supporting Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy.

They pinned onto the other officer’s body a note saying something to the effect of “this is the beginning of the revolution,” Second Assistant Sheriff Kevin McMahill told reporters.

“We don’t necessarily believe that they are white supremacists or associated with the Nazi movement. We believe that they equate government and law enforcement … with Nazis,” McMahill said. “In other words, they believe that law enforcement is the oppressor.”

Police said Monday that Jerad Miller shot Officer Igor Soldo in the back of the head, then shot fellow Officer Alyn Beck in the neck before Miller’s wife, Amanda, pulled a gun from her purse and also fired on Beck.

Videos have emerged of Miller speaking at the Bundy ranch.

“I feel sorry for any federal agents that want to come in here and try to push us around, or something like that. I really don’t want violence toward them, but if they’re going to come bring violence to us — well, if that’s the language they want to speak, we’ll learn it,” Miller said in one video.

From Facebook he writes: “I will be supporting Clive Bundy and his family from Federal Government slaughter. This is the next Waco! His ranch is under seige right now! The federal gov is stealing his cattle! Arresting his family and beating on them! We must do something. I will be doing something.”

Clark County Sheriff Douglas Gillespie identified the slain officers as 41-year-old Alyn Beck and 31-year-old Igor Soldo.

Beck, a 13-year LVMPD veteran, leaves behind a wife and three children. Soldo, who also leaves behind a wife and baby, joined the force in 2006.

What’s beguiling is how Jerad and Amanda Miller candidly broadcasted the upcoming revolution (whilst high on meth) that was to take place on their Facebook accounts and yet one has to wonder who else was following the couple and who else may also be planning another attack or if the couple are part of a broader right wing movement seeking redress from authority, the government? And why and how such extreme movements are so popular?
