Bogoljub Karic: How to Improve Your Focus

Not having focus or not having the ability to focus is something which can really have a negative effect on your daily life. Whether you are work, at home or at the gym, the ability to focus is how we learn to be efficient and productive, without it we can often be disorganized and not at our best. My friend Bogoljub Karic was the person who helped me to hone my focus and increase my productivity and the truth is that the changes which you need to make in order to increase your focus are actually very minor, but they can have a huge impact. If you find yourself having difficulties with focus, here are some things you can try to improve it.

Sleep

When we sleep it gives our brains the chance to process the huge amounts of data which it has collected throughout the day. Our brains also take this opportunity to rest certain areas, so that we are fully charged up for the day ahead. If we don’t get enough high quality sleep then our brains cannot do this and that leads to us having poor levels of focus and concentration. You should get between 7 and 9 hours of high quality sleep every night.

Drinking Water

Something which not enough of us to is consume the amount of water which we should do each day and tis is something which can also have a big impact on your ability to focus. When we don’t drink enough water our bodies can be dehydrated, when this happens the body must take hydration from other areas of the body, which can leave us weaker and functioning at a lower speed. The brain can slow down when you are dehydrated and that will massively impact how you are able to focus.

Meditation

Regular meditation is a great way of centering the mind and learning how to control all of the thoughts which are flying around our heads. When you feel that you get distracted easily it is because your brain is packed with thoughts and you don’t have the ability to ignore certain thoughts whilst you are trying to get something done. When you meditate you slow things down and you can gradually learn how to organize those thoughts which can help you going forward when you need to lay heavy focus on things and avoid getting distracted. Spend just 15 minutes per day in a quite space, close your eyes and allow your thoughts to enter, take deep breathes and focus on the body, not the mind. Once you do this every day you will find that it is very easy to stay calmer, and you will also find it easy to go to that deep place in your mind.

Focus is very important in terms of your life performance so be sure that you try out these easy tips if you have a problems with your levels of focus, they really can make a difference.
