Dr. Cabbie revolves around a young Indian immigrant, an unemployed doctor-turned-cab driver, who becomes a local hero when he converts his taxi into a mobile clinic.

Dr. Cabbie is a timeless story that audiences will identify with, blending social issues and the journey of finding one’s place in the world. We are thrilled to have such a talented cast who will tell this humorous and heart warming story,” said Poulliot.

The film stars Vinay Virmani (Breakaway), Adrianne Palicki (G.I. Joe: Retaliation), Kunal Nayyar (Big Bang Theory), Lillete Dubey (Monsoon Wedding), Mircea Monroe(Change Up), Rizwan Manji (Outsourced), Chris Diamantopoulos (The Three Stooges) and will also launch newcomer Isabelle.

Producing Partners, FirstTake Entertainment and Caramel Films announced Friday that principal photography for Dr. Cabbie started this week in Toronto with the film slated for a fall release.

Dr. Cabbie is the story of an Indian immigrant and it has an inherent universal appeal,” Khan said in a statement.
