GIANTmicrobes® introduces first new product of 2014: Candida albicans

The Stamford, Connecticut toy company that specializes in designer plush toys resembling microorganisms, GIANTmicrobes, INC has announced their first release for the year- the Candida plush doll.

According to a release today, “C. albicans is the most common infectious yeast, and is distinguished by its whitish color.

“It also claims responsibility for oral thrush, skin rashes – and even systemic candidiasis. Find out how to make it wave the white flag.”

GIANTmicrobes was founded in 2002 and now has some 150 different designs.

The origins of the company according to founder, Drew Oliver, “The original idea, the “germ” of the idea if you will, was to teach nursery school children about washing their hands.”
