Kenneth Branagh sounds interested in returning at Gilderoy Lockhart for JK Rowling’s ‘Fantastic Beasts’
Kenneth Branagh is the latest former Harry Potter actor to be asked about J.K. Rowling’s spinoff series Fantastic Beasts.
MTV spoke to the Thor director while promoting his new action thriller Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit and asked what he knows about the forthcoming movie which will be produced by David Heyman.
“If they could use really interesting techniques to make me look a little younger, like, about 100 years younger, that would maybe be a good thing,” he responded when asked about reprising his role as Gilderoy Lockhart
“It will be fascinating to see how that works out.”
He was also asked if he knew any more about the project but said no.
He added that if they need him, “they have my number.”
Branagh directs and stars in the new Jack Ryan film about the CIA analyst turned operative battles Embee and then transitions to speak with William Harper (Kevin Costner) sitting on a bench with his “quasi-personal” golden retriever. Harper is a savvy CIA vet and Ryan’s handler/mentor.
Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit arrives in theaters on January 17, 2014
