Kentucky teen, Jordan Morlan, dies after a Halloween prank goes wrong
Kentucky teen, Jordan Morlan lost his life when he accidentally hanged himself in the front yard of his home on Sept. 23. His mother talked about the incident to WHAS-TV on Sept. 24 and said that it was a Halloween prank that went horribly wrong.
The 16-year-old Jordan Morlan’s body was found by his sister, hanging from a tree with a noose in his head. The young girl ran to tell her mother, Ginger Rodriguez, who thought that the boy “was probably playing a prank” on the sister, WHAS-TV reports.
The sister said, “No, he is not moving and he has got drool hanging from his mouth.”
The paramedics rushed Jordan’s body to the hospital, where he spent the next 12 hours in life support. His organs failed and he lost his life on Monday morning.
Jordan Morlan was a sophomore honor student at Fern Creek High School and a member of the ROTC rifle team. His aim was to become a Marine.
The grieving mother talked about the tragedy with the hope that parents will discuss the consequences of pulling pranks with their children, and hoped that teens will learn from the incident.
