Bestie Birthday Bash

The Miz with Shance McMahon vs. Sheamus with Cesaro

The Miz wins by Pinfall with a Roll Up on a distracted Sheamus after Cesaro went through the Birthday Cake table. Sheamus attacked Miz after the match and Shane McMahon came to the rescue. Shane and Miz gained the advantage and Shane delivered the Coast to Coast on Sheamus while Miz held a cake over his face to add insult to injury.

Botches

  • Mandy Rose and Jimmy Uso were vapid in their performances, which was surprising. This was a scene that required acting chops neither of them delivered.
  • The Bestie Birthday Bash really killed the pace of the show right at the end.

Bodyslams

  • Becky Lynch opened the show strong once again. Lynch is firing on all cylinders in every aspect of her game, and shows no signs of slowing down.
  • Rey Mysterio vs. Andrade was another fantastic match, but probably not the best one they can do. There were plenty of high spots and these two were giving the fans what few on the roster can offer.

This episode had excellent pacing until the last segment, and everything on the show was worthwhile. Mandy Rose and Jimmy Uso were definitely the weakest part of the show, but they weren’t horrible. If anything it was a case of not owning the role and delivering it with confidence and sincerity. It was by no means the worst acting you’ll ever see in professional wrestling. Everything else on the show was great. Becky Lynch owned the show from the beginning. AJ Styles took the reins smoothly. The fight at the concession stand between AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan was awesome. Samoa Joe mauling Mustafa Ali was appropriate and well executed. Rey Mysterio and Adrade were incredible. The Bestie Birthday Bash took a high energy, fast paced show and slammed it into a wall, but the match afterward was good and the Coast to Coast was a satisfying payoff.
