Wednesday night, I was not sure what to expect when Boston took the stage at the LC Pavilion in Columbus, Ohio. I have been a fan of Boston’s music for decades, but never had the opportunity to see a show. Now that the music has stopped playing and Boston has already moved on to their next venue, I am not sure if I sit here reeling from all the ganja in the air or all the musical genius that was up on that stage.

Original band member, Tom Sholz (67 and an Ohio native) played hard and made it look easy. Tom is the inventor of the band writing nearly all Boston’s music ever produced.
Tommy DeCarlo (lead singer since 2008), made an impressive stage performance. He sang his heart out while signing album covers and waving to fans in the crowd.
All of the band members showed such appreciation for the fans; it was not just the other way around.
Having the opportunity to meet and chat with Tracie Ferrie (Stryper 2004-2009, Boston since 2012}, let me give you some insight on the dedication this guy has to music. Tracie was doing reverse curls in his work out and injured his elbow badly enough he couldn’t shake hands when we met, but he pushed through to play that bass guitar all night long.
Boston brought out 9th season American Idol finalist, Siobhan Magnus. She did a sizzling performance of “Walk On” like a pro and retuned to back up for the rest of the show. There is no doubt she picked the right genre for her music career.
Boston has released a new album named “Life, Love, Hope”. They played a few new songs from the track list. It is classic Boston style with a new edge.
It will definitely not be a disappointment.
If you love great rock music, stinging guitar rifts and sing along songs you have known for ages, then it is a must for you to see Boston live when they visit your city.
