Michael Sweet discusses the new Stryper album ‘No More Hell to Pay’

Lead singer and founder of Stryper, Michael Sweet, talked with Dispatch Radio about their new album, tour and plans.

“We’re celebrating our 30year anniversary since we formed in 1983 and we have a new album coming out on November 5th called “No More Hell To Pay,” and video coming out in the next few weeks, fan weekend in Nashville,” Sweet began.

“…The original lineup, believe it or not, which is saying a lot considering the fact that my brother is even in the band,” Sweet continues, finishing with a laugh.

Sweet, now 50, shows no loss of energy or excitement as the band pulls together for this new and exciting album.

“I believe this is our best record…the best record we’ve ever made in so many ways,” he says discussing the balance of guitar solos, being creative and original as he says he feels that everything came together on this record.

“It’s Stryper today, but it’s Stryper of old.”

“No More Hell To Pay” is the 11th album (counting the re-issue of “The Yellow and Black Attack”) with “To Hell with the Devil” going platinum in 1986.
