‘American Idol’ star Colton Dixon rocks with fans at Rock the Universe 2013
With the rain pouring down on fans in Orlando Colton Dixon took stage at 2013’s Rock the Universe.
The former American Idol contestant wasted no time to energize the fans swarming into Universal Studios as he opened with his song “Noise.”

“…everything is noise/Everything is screaming out/Everything has come alive, oh/But I’m getting lost in the sound/I need to hear Your voice,” the singer from Tennessee led the crowd.
“Never Gone” embodies the rock worship that Dixon is mastering. “I’ll try not to talk too much and let’s just rock and praise Jesus, amen?”
The cheers confirmed the crowd was pleased.
Dixon’s Christian hit song “You Are” was next and the rocker jammed with signature blonde faux hawk bouncing with the crowd as the show progressed.
Relaying stories from fan emails he introduced “Scars” explaining that “Jesus’ scars remind us who we are in the Lord and what we believe.”

The fans also love his funny side, how he told a funny story at the “fancy restaurant” where his guitarist requested the temperature of steak as “hot.”
A self-described “die hard Colton Dixon fan” says she’s been following the rocker since he first auditioned for Idol.
Jessica from Lakeland carried a two-sided sign showing her support saying “when he went up…into falsetto – I freaked out.”
On his twitter page Dixon posted: #RockTheUniverse braved the rain tonight. We had a blast! Thanks for having us!
