The romantic film featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” continues its winning streak at the box office and becomes the third top grosser in India.
With the last weekend’s earning in place (June 14 – June 16), “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” raked in a whopping sum of Rs. 168.48 crores, thus becoming the third big earner after, “3 Idiots” and “Eh Tha Tiger,” according to trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh, who updated the numbers on his Twitter timeline.
Adarsh tweeted, “Top 3 grossers in India [Hindi films]: #3Idiots – 202 cr, #EkThaTiger – 199 cr, #YehJawaaniHaiDeewani – 168.48 cr [still counting].”
With several new releases lined up in the coming weeks, it will be interesting to see if “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” can maintain its dominance at the box office.
