‘X-Men First Class’ star James McAvoy joins Daniel Radcliffe for new ‘Frankenstein’ film
James McAvoy is set to star in Paul McGuigan’s upcoming Frankenstein movie.

‘I Frankenstein’ won’t be the only Frankenstein film in 2014 as James McAvoy now has signed on to another film centering on the monster.
The Filth actor will play Victor Von Frankenstein opposite Daniel Radcliffe’s Igor in the fresh take on Mary Shelley’s novel, reports Deadline.
Max Landis (Chronicle) penned the script for the film, which Radcliffe has said is “far and away the best script [he’s] read coming out of a big studio in the time that [he’s] been off Harry Potter“.
The story is based around the character of Frankenstein’s hunchback lab assistant Igor, who does not appear in Shelley’s original novel.
Two other Frankenstein movies are currently coming to theaters.
The Aaron Eckhart film I, Frankenstein debuted footage at Comic-Con, while Guillermo del Toro (Pacific Rim, Hellboy) has also announced that he wants to direct Benedict Cumberbatch in a new version.
Deadline added that the studio recently tested actors that included Boardwalk Empire‘s Jack Huston, and Black Mirror star Toby Kebbell, whose breakout was the Guy Ritchie-directed RocknRolla.
McGuigan’s untitled Frankenstein movie is due out October 17, 2014.
