‘X-Men Apocalypse’ will likely have a bald Professor X, says James McAvoy
Fans may be excited to learn one likely fact about X-Men: Apocalypse – Professor X may finally be bald. According to star James McAvoy in a Huff Po Live interview, he hinted as such, but offered no real details.
“I’ll be older in this one,” explains McAvoy. “I think I’m losing my hair finally. And, yeah, that’s kind of all I know.”
“I got an email from the [producer/writer Simon Kinberg] who informed me he was getting dead excited about stuff, but he didn’t want to divulge anything for a couple of weeks, so I really don’t know,” the British actor told HuffPo.
He echoed the apocalypse theme, noting “It seems fairly global, if we’re talking apocalypse,” he also said.
X-Men: Apocalypse is set to start filming in April 2015, so expect some casting news and a clearer picture of the story, which will be set around 1983.
Director Bryan Singer reunites with Hugh Jackman, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult for another X-Men flick. Evan Peters, Fan Bingbing also likely as well.
X-Men: Days of Future Past proved to be even more successful than anticipated, earning nearly $234 million in the US box office and grossed over $745 worldwide. This helped Fox become the first studio to earn over $1 billion in 2014.
X-Men: Apocalypse is set to arrive in theaters on May 27, 2016.
