‘X-Men Apocalypse’ set to film in early 2015, Four Horsemen casting may come soon
X-Men Apocalypse, the sequel to the massive hit X-Men Days of Future Past, has announced that production will begin in early 2015 as Bryan Singer reunites with Hugh Jackman, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult for another X-Men flick.
Journal De Montreal confirmed that set construction for the film will begin at the end of this year at Mel’s Studio, where Days of Future Past also shot, with cameras set to roll in April.
Apocalypse will likely include another return of some older characters with younger versions of the same characters. The news of who would be playing the villains could be coming soon with the roles of the Four Horsemen and Apocalypse being the most watched casting choices. Apocalypse was shown in younger form during a post-credits scene for Days of Future Past.
Evan Peters is assumed to be returning and Fan Bingbing says she’ll be back as Blink. Other rumors include an appearance for Gambit and possibly Nightcrawler.
X-Men: Apocalypse will be set in the 1980s, centering on the popular villain by the same name and will feature “mass destruction.” While there are not a lot of details, comments by creators allude to a place for characters from the original trilogy.
X-Men: Apocalypse is set to arrive in theaters on May 27, 2016.
