Acting General Manager Baron Corbin Backstage

Finn Balor vs. Bobby Lashley with Lio Rush

Bobby Lashley wins by Pinfall after the Dominator. Lio Rush once again played a distracting role to assist.Drew McIntyre then came to the ring and ran off Lashley and Rush, then hit Balor with a Claymore.

Kurt Angle Becomes RAW Team Captain for Survivor Series with a Victory
Drew McIntyre vs. Kurt Angle

Drew McIntyre wins by Submission with the Ankle Lock.

  • The opening segment was odd, as it seemed like it would be something more exciting than it was. Baron Corbin was boring while he had the mic. Alexa Bliss almost saved the segment, but it was too little too late.
  • Finn Balor losing again to Bobby Lashley doesn’t make Lashley any more interesting to fans, but makes one of their favorites look bad. This cold feud isn’t helping either man.

  • Braun Strowman is back to racking up a property damage bill and hunting someone down backstage again. This is where Braun is his most interesting.
  • Elias and Apollo Crews both picked up victories. Elias is obviously going to rise to the top, and Apollo is still trying to find his footing to climb higher.
  • Nia Jax and Tamina teaming up. These two are scary together, and could be the dominant tag team if the Women’s Tag Team Division ever launches.

This episode of RAW was in a hard position, coming off a lackluster Crown Jewel event. Brock Lesnar won the Universal Championship again, to the fans’ dismay, and he isn’t on RAW to follow up. The setup for Survivor Series has begun, and the Tag Team Division has been reset. The show is finally set for some interesting stories if handled correctly and everyone stays healthy. This show makes a brighter future for RAW possible.
