Writer David Goyer says ‘Batman vs Superman’ is ‘further along than people realize’

Warner Bros’ Superman vs Batman is “further along than… people realize”, writer David S Goyer has said.

batman_vs_superman_logoThe Man of Steel writer discussed how he deals with fan expectations on his highly anticipated superhero movies.

“One of the things that has been fun for us, is we’re a bit a further along than what I think people realize,” Goyer told the Associated Press.

“I think from a fan point of view, you’re conscious of that when you’re working on these things, but you can’t let yourself be paralyzed by that. At the end of the day, you still have to create something.”

Fans may not like to hear their input isn’t influencing the creators.

“And if you try and think about, ‘Well what would the fans like?’ or ‘What would the audience like?’ then you stop being creative and it’s sort of like, ‘Where does it end?’ You have to write the story that you want to write, and hope that people want to see it.”

Director Zack Snyder’s untitled Superman vs Batman film is slated for release in 2015.
