‘Wolverine 2’ characters and story leaked, pulled by Fox
WOLVERINE 2 is moving ahead now that director Darren Aronofsky has stepped aboard. The guys over at Pajiba posted a list of characters we can expect to see in the film.These are just rumored roles from the site and they have, since the original posting, removed the entire article, but other sites picked up the story we can tell you both Silver Samurai and (possibly) Lady Deathstrike were on the list.
The potential SPOILER of the story:
Up first is Zen, a Japanese man that arranges for Logan’s release from a Canadian prison and offers to help the clawed mutant learn about his secret origins – but only if Logan accompanies him to Tokyo.
Next is Shingen, whose father was the Master of the Hand, known in Marvel Comics as a shadowy group of ninja and assassins. Shingen’s father killed himself and left the Hand masterless with the hopes that Logan would become the new leader. This doesn’t appear to sit well with Shingen or his illegitimate son, Kenuichio, best known to comics fans as the Silver Samurai. Kenuchio comes after Logan “several times” during the film wearing electrified armor.
Shigen’s family isn’t entirely opposed to Logan, as his daughter Mariko falls deeply in love with the Canadian mutant. But Logan has his hands full with Yukio, his bodyguard that has some loyalties to Shingen but mostly views Logan as her master. It’s possible that Yukio is typo and the character’s name is actually Yuriko, better known in the comics as Lady Deathstrike.
Other characters include a corrupt minister named Noburo Moro, his secretary Viper and a Japanese version of Frank Sinatra.

- The film starts with Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) back in his home country of Canada. After running into trouble he finds himself in prison, he is then bailed out by a mysterious man named Zen.
- Zen promises to answer many questions about Logan’s past (remember his amnesia hit at the end of the first film) if he accompanies him to Tokyo.
- Another character introduced is Shingen, Shingen’s father has taken his own life and left criminal organisation, the Hand masterless. He had hoped that Logan would become the new leader however this does not appear to go down too well with Shingen or his illegitimate son, Kenuichio. Kenuichio is best known to comicbook fans as the Silver Samurai. Kenuchio comes after Logan on several occassions during the film wearing electrified armor.
- Logan also gets a love interest or two here. Mariko, daughter of Shingen and Yukio both have eyes for the hairy X-Man.
