Wisconsin: Missing teen, Donovan Anderson, found dead on Kenosha’s lakefront
A body found Wednesday afternoon in Wisconsin, on Kenosha’s lakefront, has been identified as the teenager who went in Lake Michigan last week at North Pier and never resurfaced.
Donovan Anderson, 17, an Indian High School student was taking pictures friends when he went in the lake and started to struggle. Another friend jumped in to help, but she couldn’t reach him and returned to shore.
The teen never resurfaced.
Kenosha police said the body was located in the area of Alfred Park Drive, at the south end of Carthage College.
The teen initially went missing around 5 p.m. Sept. 6. Kenosha Police Department officers responded to the area of the North Pier in the Kenosha Harbor for a person in the water.
Rescue crews brought out boats, helicopters and dive teams to search for Anderson. However, the lake conditions were a challenge for crews searching early on.
