Watch first trailer for ‘X-Men Days of Future Past’
The first X-Men: Days of Future Past trailer finally arrives and fans are certain to be left wanting more.
Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) is used as the bridge to go from the dark, apocalyptic future where mutants are hunted and killed to travel back to the 1970s Professor Xavier (James McAvoy) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and prevent certain events from manifesting.
Cast members from the original Bryan Singer led films unite with the cast of X-Men: First Class to create a “fanboy” euphoria.
Keep your eyes open for the brief cameo/introduction of Blink, Sunspot, Bishop and Warpath.
Storm appearing scared is exciting to fans in the absence of the Sentinels, likely awaiting a great CGI overhaul and introduction.
Bryan Singer has tweeted that the film will be darker.
“Though there is a great deal of humor,” begins Singer, “the overall tone is a bit darker than previous films, particularly because of the stakes” adding that Mystique is “a much more hardened, kick-ass character than she was in First Class.”
The film also stars Peter Dinklage, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Ian McKellan, Patrick Stewart, Shawn Ashmore, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Omar Sy, and Halle Berry.
X-Men: Days of Future Past opens May 23, 2014.
