Washington: Woman stopped for breastfeeding while driving
A Washington State woman was pulled over for breastfeeding while driving. on the Interstate.
The woman, 44, who has not been identified, was first reported by a concerned 911 caller who spotted a baby sitting on the woman’s lap in the front seat, according to KING5.
Washington State Patrol Trooper Mark Francis said a trooper eventually pulled the woman over and discovered that she was actually breastfeeding her infant while behind the wheel.

The woman explained that her 1-year-old son had been screaming at the top of his lungs and needed to be fed. She also admitted that this wasn’t the first time she’d been pulled over for breastfeeding while driving.
She was cited for a child restraint violation and fined $165.
The Washington State Patrol secured the child in the vehicle at the end of the traffic stop.
