Washington woman, Michaela Lee attacked by a gaze of raccoons
Having one raccoon chase you is scary enough, but for one Lakewood woman, unlucky seven must have been horrifying.
According to a Seattle Times report, 28-year-old Michaela Lee was out walking her dog Madison near Fort Steilacoom Park Monday when all hell broke loose.
Madison chased two raccoons up a tree and when Lee went to retrieve her dog, to her surprise or horror, a gaze of raccoons, 6 or 7 in total, came out of the bushes and chased the woman.
It is reported that Lee got about 75 feet before she was caught by the irritated masked beasts. Witnesses told police three of the raccoons knocked her down and preceded to attack her.
Lee had many scratches and was treated for about 16 puncture wounds, into which hospital staff members injected antibiotics. Wounds in her arm and leg needed staples amd she’s been started on a round of rabies vaccines.
Lee has since breathed a sigh of relief upon learning the disease is rare in raccoons in the area.
