Waco man, Michael Daniel charged with killing and eating family dog while allegedly tripping on K-2
A crazed Waco man was arrested Monday charged with cruelty to a non-livestock animal.
According to KWTX.com, On June 14, 22-year-old Michael Terron Daniel was arrested after a man who claimed to be on the synthetic drug K-2 chased a neighbor while barking a growling like a dog and then attacked a family dog, which he beat, strangled and then started to eat. Daniel was arrested Monday without incident.
According to the bizarre report, Daniel, who after chasing and barking at neighbors, took a medium-sized black dog onto the front porch of his home where he beat and strangled the animal and then “began to bite into the dog, ripping pieces of flesh away”, according to Waco police.
The dog was killed at the scene.
When police arrived, Daniel was sitting on the porch bloodied with “blood and fur around his mouth.”
Daniel allegedly told neighbors he was high on synthetic marijuana, sometimes called K-2 or Spice.
K-2 or Spice are synthetic cannabis “designer drugs” derived of natural herbs sprayed with synthetic chemicals that, when consumed, allegedly mimic the pleasurable effects of cannabis.
Studies suggest synthetic cannabis use is associated with psychosis and the exacerbation of existing psychotic disorders.
Extreme paranoia, hallucinations and violent behavior have also been reported.
