Vector Solutions launches ‘Pulling Together’: First Annual Fire Truck pull to support fallen firefighters

Vector Solutions, the leader in industry-focused eLearning and SaaS performance support solutions, proudly announced its First Annual Fire Truck Pull to benefit the Wildland Firefighters Foundation. Taking place on Friday, November 9, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Tampa, Florida at the WestShore Mall, the event is the capstone of Vector Solutions fundraising efforts to support fallen firefights in honor of its client Draper Battalion Chief Matt Burchett, who passed earlier this year fighting a wildfire in Utah.

Over the past three months, the company has led 14 initiative raising over $10,000 to date for the Wildland Firefighters Foundation. Throughout the company’s four offices nationwide, pot lucks, golf challenges, trivia tournament, computer auctions, bake sales and more were held to raise funds for the Wildfire relief. All proceeds are being donated directly to Wildland Firefighters Foundation, as requested by Burchett’s family.

“We serve everyday heroes, from fighters to teachers – and safety for these critical professionals is our priority,” said Jeff Gordon, CEO of Vector Solutions. “But with such courageous careers, comes high risk. While our start-of-the-art online training delivers best possible training to firefighters for potentially dangerous and unforeseen situations, tragedies unfortunately still happen. In those times, our team unites to continue to support where and when needed.”

During next month’s fire truck pull, companies from all Urban Center Offices, located at 4890 West Kennedy Boulevard in Tampa, Florida, and surrounding areas are invited to participate in the fire truck pull being held across the street in the WestShore mall parking lot. A maximum of 24 teams with 6 to 10 participants per team will compete to see who can pull the truck the fastest in a specified distance. Two fire trucks will be loaned from Pasco County Fire Rescue. Winners will be recognized in the final awards ceremony and all participants will receive gifts expressing gratitude for participation and support.
