Vancouver schools get ‘gay friendly’ replacing gender pronouns, ‘he and she’ are not ‘xem’

Several schools in Vancouver have proposed that gender neutral pronouns should take the places of personal pronouns such as “he,” “she,” “his” and “hers.” The pronouns “xe,” “xem,” and “xyr” were suggested as alternatives to encompass all students, including transgender students.
The new “gay friendly” politices also include a mandatory unisex bathroom and gender identity tolerance for the dress code and activities.

According to the new policy, “xe” should take the place of “he” or “she,” “xem” will replace “him” or “her,” and “xyr” will take over “his” and “hers.”

According to the schools, students are not required to use the terminology, but are permitted to use the words if they choose to not identify as one specific gender. “We’re standing up for kids and making our schools safer and more inclusive,” said board member Mike Lombardi.
The new report detail how the Canadian schools have adopted new policies for a “gay-friendly” curriculum, in which students “have the right to dress in a manner consistent with their gender identity or gender expression.”

Commentator Kelly McParland warned: “Parents who questioned the change argued, quite reasonably, that six-year-olds aren’t qualified to understand all the intricacies of identity issues. Some of them can’t even use the toilet yet.”

During physical education, students may choose to participate with the gender of their choosing when activities are segregated between boys and girls.
One more shift includes a required unisex bathroom available for students.

Charisma News noted that Brendan O’Neill, who is an atheist, said that just because Austria’s winning contestant Conchita Wurst wants to be referred to as “she” when performing in a dress, “does that mean we all have to comply with this rather strange demand, no questions asked?”

“Does objective reality—the fact that there are biological differences between men and women, and that the vast majority of humankind decides whether someone is a man or woman by those biological attributes—count for nothing in the face of one person’s wish to be known as something he is not?” he asked.
