‘Vampire Diaries’ stars Todd Lasance, Susan Walter and ‘Harry Potter’ star Tom Felton join ‘The Flash’ season 3
Keiynan Lonsdale will suited as Kid Flash as the Flashpoint storyline sees Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen struggling with the alternate reality created after going back in time and stopping the murder of his mother.
Still filming in Vancouver, season three of The Flash will add a few more characters: The Vampire Diaries alums Todd Lasance as a mysterious speedster, likely the villain Black Racer and Susan Walters as Dr. Carla Tannhauser, Caitlin’s mother.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Dr. Snow’s doctor mom, Carla is “a world class biomedical engineer and CEO of a major research company.”
Harry Potter star Tom Felton will play Julian Dorn. From TV Line, the earlier description of the character that surfaced before Felton’s arrival offered some other clues. Dorn is another CSI at Central City PD “who suspects there’s more to Barry than just his good guy reputation.”
TV Line described the (then unnamed) Dorn as “Barry’s slightly older, slightly geekier contemporary, a guy who is as smart as he is intuitive.” He “doesn’t buy Barry’s nice guy routine” and starts doing some investigating “all while concealing some secrets of his own.”
Violett Beane will return as Jesse Wells. “I know I’ll be back,” Beane told TVLine. “But I don’t know if it’s with or without powers.” She’s alluding to the character becoming Jesse Quick, a female speedster in her own right.
The SDCC teaser trailer footage confirms Barry’s mom is alive, his father (John Wesley Shipp) is not in prison. Neither West, father (Jesse L Martin) Iris (Candice Patton) know Barry and Kid Flash is the hero in town as Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) is the speedster. Carlos Valdes plays Cisco, a very powerful tech guru, almost Lex Luthor like and Barry is quickly thrown into a new problem of restoring the correct timeline.
The Flash season 3 begins on October 4, 2016.
