Unique European City Breaks for Men
If you’ve been thinking about planning a holiday for all the guys you know – whether it’s a bachelor party or a yearly trip away – but you’re struggling to pick a place, then why not think about somewhere in Europe? Not only will you get to experience a completely different culture, but you’ll be going somewhere far more exotic than just flying to the next state. If you’ve never been to Europe before, you’ll need to remember basics like changing money, travel adapters for plugs, and learning a few key phrases. However, the majority of people in any country you visit will speak English. Likewise, European cities have a lot more on offer than if you were just heading out to casinos or camping. You can do so much more, as the cities and countries are a lot smaller.
So, here’s a few unique city breaks to consider for your next guys-only vacation.

Zurich
The heart of Switzerland, Zurich is a treasure-trove of outdoor activities, delicious food and beautiful scenery. This Zurich travel guide will give you some excellent ideas about what to do, but here are a few activities to get you started. You can pace yourselves during the day with relaxing boat rides around the city, and explore the city’s historical past. By night, there are plenty of bar crawls to enjoy. Whether you book one yourself, or go on a guided tour, be sure to visit El Lokal – and check out the skeletal guest hanging from the roof.
Amsterdam
Another city to consider is Amsterdam. While you’ll already know about the infamous Red Light District, the ‘Dam is actually full of historical sights, great bars, and wonderful people. It’s a predominantly pedestrianized area, and it’s easy to hire bikes and cycle around the flat city. From the Van Gogh museum, to walking its maze of canals, you need to spend a few days exploring the cities rich history and culture. Amsterdam’s nightlife is diverse, offering something for everyone. Now, however, it’s more of a tourist attraction, with huge numbers of international visitors flocking to see it each year.
Hamburg
While many visitors to Germany opt for Berlin or Munich, if you’re off on a boys’ holiday, you should consider Hamburg. It’s set up for catering for large groups of people and has plenty of activities: from large parks to play ball games in, to all-night raves, and a selection of traditional German beer halls. Plus, it’s easy to hire bikes, and you can reach all parts of the city either by cycling or on the trams.
Ibiza
If you want to spend your vacation snoozing on the beach by day and listening to international DJs by night, then Ibiza’s the destination for you. This Spanish city is home to some of the most infamous, legendary venues in the world, and is the place to go for the best electronic music. You’ll be able to soak up the glamor of San Antonio, enjoying private poolside parties, and special appearances from a range of DJs, while enjoying fresh seafood and tasty Spanish dishes.
