‘Under the Dome’ season 2 preview: New clip, Brett Cullen as Barbie’s dad, Dean Norris on Big Jim
The hit show Under the Dome will be back Monday to begin season 2 and fans are clamoring over some the rumors and spoilers associated with the first episode back. According to TV Guide, Mike Vogel’s Barbie is safe, Junior refusing to kill of the main character, but the body count may be high in the premiere.
As IBTimes confirms: “Not only will some major characters lose their lives in “Heads Will Roll” but Barbie will also lose his mind when his father, played by Lost alum Brett Cullen, comes strolling back into his life. Executive Producer Neal Baer told TV Guide that Barbie’s dad will serve as a “revelation that’s unexpected in terms of who Barbie really is.”
“His father runs a multinational company, so Barbie is not a poor, working-class kid,” he explained. Cullen’s role as Barbie’s father appears stir up his life and create an interesting arc in Chester’s Mill. There is no confirmation of how many episodes Cullen will be appearing in.
Fans can rest assured more deaths are coming and Big Jim, played by Dean Norris, promises his character will get crazier.
“There will be some killing… and Big Jim is usually the guy who’s killing,” laughed Norris during a June 24 interview with CBS News. “It’s a lot of fun killing people on camera. Yeah, we take some people out. We have a high body count this year too.”
Famous for playing DEA Agent Hank Schrader on Breaking Bad, Norris says Big Jim Rennie is a lot more fun. “It’s a lot more fun playing the evil guy,” said Norris. “Playing morally constricted characters is not nearly as fun as playing a crazy guy.”
Under the Dome stars Vogel, Rachelle Lefevre, Norris, Eddie Cahill, Alexander Koch, Nicholas Strong, Colin Ford, Mackenzie Lintz, Karla Crome, Natalie Martinez and Britt Robertson.
Under the Dome season 2 begins June 30 10 p.m. ET on CBS.
