Tutu Project, Bob Carey, goes viral across the Internet – Most Inspirational Stories of 2013
Even as they tell their story, the comparisons to Superman putting on his costume is an entertaining introduction to the man who dons a pick tutu to amuse and encourage his wife.
This is the Tutu Project….this is Bob and Linda Carey.
The new video focuses on the middle-aged man who photographs himself in a pink tutu and little else.
It started as a “lark,” says Carey on his blog. “I mean, really, think of it. Me photographing myself in a pink tutu, how crazy is that?”
The new video came about after German telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom approached the Careys to tell their story, resulting in “a commercial and print campaign in Germany,” the couple said on their website.
The Careys’ nonprofit organization raises money for cancer treatment-related costs, supporting organizations that provide medical supplies, transportation to treatment and child care.
“Her cancer has taught us that life is good, dealing with it can be hard, and sometimes the very best thing — no, the only thing — we can do to face another day is to laugh at ourselves, and share a laugh with others.”
