‘Transformers Age of Extinction’ trailer features Mark Wahlberg, tons of action and Dinobots
Michael Bay and the Transformers will be back this summer with the fourth film in the franchise: Transformers: Age of Extinction.
While the film is a direct sequel in the storyline, the entire cast has been “reboot” and the Super Bowl was the perfect place to showcase the new film, new stars, and especially, new leading man, Mark Wahlberg.
Fans may be most excited about the first look at the new Dinobots.
The Super Bowl rollout was part of Bay’s plan.
“So that brings me to letting Transformers fans know that we have completed our five and half month shoot. We got back from a month-long shot in China,” the Pearl Harbor director wrote.
“My crew and I had a fantastic time shooting in Hong Kong and Mainland China.
“I think the first piece comes out for the Super Bowl and a teaser right after that. And yes, I’m very excited about this new movie.”
The new film stars Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor, Kelsey Grammer, Stanley Tucci, T.J. Miller, Titus Welliver, Han Geng, Sophia Myles, and Li Bingbing.
Transformers: Age of Extinction opens in theaters on June 27, 2014.
