‘Toy Story 4’: Keanu Reeves confirmed, new poster sets film at the carnival, hotel coming to Tokyo Disney

Fans got a quick tease and introduction to Forky in the short trailer last month and now get a few more nuggets of details to tease the fourth film in the Toy Story franchise. Keanu Reeves talks about his role in the film, getting cast as a new international poster confirms the carnival theme. Additionally, Disney dropped news of a new Toy Story themed hotel headed for Tokyo Disney.

Tim Allen actually broke the news of  Reeves’ involvement: “They really will surprise you with the toys they came up with,” Allen said. “Characters came back, new guys in it that are great. Keanu Reeves has got a great part.”

While promoting his upcoming sci-fi film Replicas, Reeves explained: “I got a call which was really cool out the blue from the lovely people at Pixar and the creators of this number, this edition, or continuation of the story. They pitched the character to me and then we spoke and they allowed me to kind of riff on it.”

Reeves says he’s done four recording sessions for the film so far.

Forky will be voiced by Tony Hale, who is a spork made to look like a toy, but who goes through an existential crisis as a result—is he a toy, or is he a utensil.

The film also stars Tom Hanks, Joan Cusack, Don Rickles, Estelle Harris, Wallace Shawn, John Ratzenberger, Jeff Pidgeon, Jordan Peele, Keegan-Michael Key and Blake Clark.

Check out the new international poster below, which confirms a visit to the carnival.

Toy Story 4 hits theaters on June 21, 2019.

The Oriental Land Co., Ltd. announced that a new “family friendly, affordable Disney hotel” will be coming to the Tokyo Disney Resort area in fiscal year 2021. Based on the extremely successful Toy Story franchise, the approximately 600 room hotel will give guests an opportunity to enjoy a toy-sized world. The guest rooms will resemble the ever-familiar bedroom of Andy, where Woody, Buzz, and their other pals live. The rooms will be designed with furniture and features inspired by their world.
