Top Simulation Games to Try Out

If you’re a big fan of simulation games and you’re looking for some new games to try out there are plenty out there to consider. If you’re a long time fan of simulation games, then you will probably have tried out some the Sims series of games but if you haven’t then this is probably a great starting point. Sims takes you through a wide range of life events and is a hugely addictive game.

The fact that the franchise has sold almost 200 million copies across the world gives you an understanding of how popular this set of games is. Sims was first released back in 2000, and there have been a number of varying challenges and themes to try out since then. If you’re a simulation game newbie, then start with one of the Sims games.

If you prefer to play sports simulation style of games, then there are loads consider. Across Europe, the soccer games such as FIFA are highly popular and are released pretty much every season so you can get the latest signings and kits for your teams, as well as the latest gameplay developments.

In the US, you see more sales for baseball simulation games or NBA 2K16. Take a look at the sports video games awards that Forbes recently published to see which games were triumphant. In addition to the latest NBA and FIFA games, other nominees for awards included NHL, UFC and Madden.

When it comes to the best simulation games, it does come down to the preference of the gamer. If you love soccer, then FIFA is worth a go, but if you’re more of a basketball fan then you know that NBA will probably appeal to you more. The standard of graphics and gameplay options mean that all games are pretty amazing these days and there isn’t much between them.

Racing games are also a huge favorite and top car racing games include Gran Turismo, F1 and Forza Motorsport. If you prefer to get dirty, then try the Dirt Rally.

There are also many types of combat style simulation games, particularly around war missions or zombie killing challenges. Games that you should try if this sounds like your kind of thing are Call of Duty, Sim Apocalypse or Silent Hunter if you like a bit of ocean-based gaming. Ever fancied being a doctor but couldn’t face the years of training? Now you can have a go at performing your own surgery from the comfort of your home with Surgeon Simulator.

Simulation games pretty much dominate gaming these days, and it is easy to see why. You can be pretty much whatever you want to be through your console, whether that be a doctor, a sports star or even a pimp. The reality of games makes them even more exciting, and you can see places in the world that you have never experienced, all through your games console.
