TNT releases details on first four episodes of ‘Major Crimes’ season 5

TNT’s hit drama Major Crimes returns for its fifth season this summer.

The series features a stellar ensemble cast headed by two-time Oscar® nominee Mary McDonnell as Captain Sharon Raydor. Also starring are G.W. Bailey as Lieutenant Provenza, Tony Denison as Lieutenant Andy Flynn, Michael Paul Chan as Lieutenant Mike Tao, Raymond Cruz as Detective Julio Sanchez, Phillip P. Keene as tech expert and reserve officer Buzz Watson, Kearran Giovanni as Detective Amy Sykes, Jonathan Del Arco as Dr. Morales and Robert Gossett as Assistant Chief Russell Taylor. In addition, Graham Patrick Martin stars as Rusty Beck, a formerly homeless teen who was adopted by Captain Raydor in the third season.

Major Crimes is set to launch its fifth season on Monday, June 13, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT).

Here are TNT’s descriptions of the first four episodes of Major Crimes, season five.

Season 5 Summer Episodes

SUMMER PREMIERE: “Present Tense” – Monday, June 13, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT) – TV-14-DLV
The Major Crimes squad investigates the mysterious disappearance of a teenage girl, who vanished while volunteering at a homeless shelter, while Buzz cracks open the decades old cold case file on the murder of his father and uncle. Andy Flynn considers selling his house.

“N.S.F.W.” – Monday, June 20, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT) – TV-14-DLV
The murder of a detective in the Sex Crimes unit leads Major Crimes into the world of “barely legal” porn, where they find rampant drug use and questionable ethics. Meanwhile, Rusty’s biological mother, Sharon Beck (Ever Carradine) returns with some surprising news.

“Foreign Affairs” – Monday, June 27, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT) – TV-14-DLV
After an ISIS inspired attack against a member of the US Armed Services, the FBI asks for Captain Raydor’s help in finding a terrorist, joining the Bureau in a race against the clock before the terrorist can strike again.

“Skin Deep” – Monday, July 11, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT) – TV-14-DLV
When Flynn looks into purchasing a new home and seeks input from Provenza and Buzz, an unexpected turn of events leads to a new investigation for Major Crimes. Meanwhile, Buzz continues to look into the circumstances surrounding his father’s murder.
