Titus Welliver discusses ‘Bosch’ season 2, returning to ‘Agents of SHIELD’ and ‘Bosch’ season 3
Amazon has a big hit with Bosch, the police drama based on the popular Michael Connelly novels, with Titus Welliver starring as the titular character with Jamie Hector, Amy Aquino, Lance Reddick and Sarah Clarke. Welliver returned to Dispatch Radio to talk about season 2 of Bosch, filming with Amazon and looking ahead to a season 3.
“Amazon has done an amazing job of advertising the show…there are giant billboards of my face plastered on buses, subways and billboards across the country…a lot of stuff in the airports, so that makes for an interesting stepping into the radar machine…,” Titus begins after Brandon asks about being recognized as Harry Bosch. “Of course, they think I’m on a watch list,” he later joked. “People really enjoy it…it’s really quite lovely I must say.”
Welliver has been Harry since the beginning of development and details the character who is “multifaceted and nuanced and interesting” confessing that he misses the character when they are not shooting, how his son responds and just a love for the show, the character and for Amazon. Titus praises the process, attention to details, working with a wonderful cast….great stuff.

Just after Titus appearing on the Dispatch, Bosch season 3 was approved at Amazon. Here’s the remarks from that news.
“Our customers can’t get enough of Harry Bosch,” said Morgan Wandell, Head of Drama Series at Amazon Studios. “Michael, Eric, Henrik, and Pieter Jan, as well as Titus and the entire cast and crew, have done a fantastic job with Season 2, and we can’t wait to see what they have in store for next season.”
Titus touched on his long list of roles from Transformers, Lost, Poker Night during the previous appearance on the show, but he focuses on his big return to ABC’s Marvel’s Agent of SHIELD.
“It’s amazing how many characters come back,” Titus says, talking about revisiting the Marvel universe personally and how the characters move fluidly. He says it’s “wonderful to rediscover the stuff I’ve always loved” referring to the rich Marvel library of characters.
He mentions vacationing, having a role in Ben Affleck’s next film, Live By Night, due in theaters on October 20, 2017.
