Thousands turned out to kickoff Tampa Comic-Con 2016
Anime, cosplay, comic books, science fiction, movie and television fans are come together for massive pop culture conventions all over the world and this weekend it’s in Tampa, Florida. With a guest which includes The Walking Dead‘s Norman Reedus, Daredevil stars Charlie Cox and Elodie Yung as well as Sean Astin (Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Goonies, Woodlawn), Jack Gleeson, Jenna Coleman (Doctor Who), the entire voice cast from the animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle TV show, Ray Park (who played Darth Maul) and Ian McDiarmid (Emperor Palpatine) and much more…expect last year’s record 50,000 visitors to be in jeopardy.
Neal Adams headlines a great list of comic book creators with George Perez, Bernie Wrightson, Peter David, Ron Marz, Rob Hunter, Dan Jurgens, Bob Layton, Steve McNiven and many, many more. Amanda Conner and husband Jimmy Palmiotto,who call. the Tampa Bay area home, will also be present.

Popular authors Kevin J. Anderson, Terry Brooks and R.A. Salvatore are also on the slate as is fan favorite Spanish actress Ivana Baquero (The Shannara Chronicles).
Voice Actor and comedian Maurice LaMarche will be onhand, known to fans as the man who voiced The Brain on the popular animated Pinky & The Brain series, but has a long resume of incredible voice roles.
Sean Schemmel will also draw a big crowd as the voice behind Dragon Ball Z’s Goku.
Saturday is jammed full of celebrity panels, a film festival and of course, the beloved cosplay contest.
Fans can pick up a free Tampa Comic-Con poster draw by Adams and enjoy the low prices on comic books, toys, action figures, t-shirts and tons of artwork.
Kids 12 and under are FREE and do NOT require any sort of credential for entry.
