‘Thor The Dark World’ director Alan Taylor may head ‘Terminator 5’
Terminator 5 might be about to secure itself a new director, with Thor: The Dark World‘s Alan Taylor reportedly in talks to take over the franchise.
According to Variety, Taylor has entered into talks with Paramount over potentially directing the film, although no official deal has been struck as yet.
Skydance and Annapurna will co-finance along with the studio with David Ellison producing for Skydance and Megan Ellison producing for Annapurna. Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier penned the script.
Justin Lin was previously attached as director before scheduling conflicts meant he was forced to step down. Since then, the project has not moved forward, but now may find traction with the Game of Thrones creator attached.
Concrete details about the new film are few and far between, although it has been revealed that Terminator 5 will become the first installment in a brand new trilogy and Arnold Schwarzenegger has confirmed that he will be involved in some capacity.
