These Companies are Harnessing the Power of Google

Did you know that Alphabet, the parent company of Google, topped the $100 billion mark in annual sales in 2017 and 2018?

With this sort of revenue and reach, there’s no wondering why a growing number of companies are looking for ways to harness the power of Google.

While there are millions of companies and individual consumers using one or more of Google’s many products and services, some have taken their involvement to the next level.

Now, let’s get to the good stuff. Each of these companies has found a unique way to use Google to its advantage:

  1. Kloudio

Kloudio has setup shop at the intersection of big data and spreadsheets. Here’s how the company is described on the G Suite Marketplace:

“Kloudio gives users the superpower to access and update any database/cloud applications within Google Sheets – without any IT involvement or query language necessary.”

While the use of Google Sheets is a big part of what Kloudio does, the company doesn’t stop there. It’s also integrated with Google in a variety of other ways, such as its recent Google BigQuery integration.

Krishna Bhat, Kloudio CEO, had this to say about the recent release:

“Our Google BigQuery integration was built on the basis of propelling efficient data reporting for enterprise users. The new integration helps facilitate the reporting of large datasets for analysts everyday. BigQuery users will be confident in processing more data in record time to make fast decisions.”

With a variety of Google integrations, which also includes Google Forms, it’s easy to see that Kloudio understands the importance of providing its customers access to everything the “Big G” has to offer.

  1. Colgate-Palmolive

When most people think about Colgate-Palmolive, the first thing that comes to mind is toothpaste and soap.

There’s a lot going on behind the scenes at this company, with everyone working together to ensure that high quality products reach consumers.

Recently, Colgate-Palmolive transitioned all its employees (28,000+) to G Suite.

Mitch Cohen, Senior Manager Collaboration Services at Colgate-Palmolive, explained the decision for the change:

“We set out to find an easy-to-use toolset that would support innovation across our teams and fundamentally change what people could accomplish. We wanted a solution that people would be excited about using—and something that we knew could support our company over the next 20+ years.”

There are several important takeaways from that quote, but the most telling may be the confidence he has that Google will provide high quality service and support well into the future.

  1. Dasheroo

As an all-in-one business dashboard, Dasheroo has more than 100 integrations for users to choose from.

While every integration has something to offer, Google applications are among the most used. These include:

  • Google Analytics
  • Google Sheets
  • Google AdWords
  • Google Calendar
  • Google Docs
  • Google Contacts
  • Google Glass
  • Google Drive
  • Google Tasks

You get the point. Dasheroo knows that its customer base is using a variety of Google services, so they’ve made a large number of them available for integration into a comprehensive dashboard.

Final Thoughts

As one of the most powerful and most valuable companies in the world, Google will continue to play a major part in the success of many businesses.

With Google already making waves with new rollouts in 2019, it will be interesting to see what comes next and how companies take advantage.
