‘The Wire’ creator David Simon follows wishing death on Trump supporters with blaming Trump for the Annapolis shooting
As Maryland was rocked by the tragic shooting at the Capital Gazette newspaper, showrunner for The Wire David Simon engaged in a disgusting Twitter tweetstorm on Thursday, blaming President Trump for the climate which led to the mass killing.
“Blood today in an American newsroom. Aren’t you proud, you vile, fascist son of a bitch,” Simon tweeted in response to a Trump tweet in which the president claimed the “fake news media … is not my enemy, it is the enemy of the American People!”
The Alt-left creator also attacked Florida Senator Marco Rubio, who criticized the mainstream media for creating a “lack of trust in reporting.”
“From the vantage of someone who is waiting for the death count of journalists shot in their newsroom in my home state, can I simple say that @marcorubio is unfit to be a citizen of a republic, much less a legislator. You should crawl through broken glass to hell, Senator,” Simon wrote.
Simon believes that conservatives share the worst kind of ideas, his wishing grotesque death on people is the least of it.
Suffice to say that while you can arrive on Twitter and disseminate the untethered and anti-human opinion that mothers who have their children kidnapped and held incommunicado from them at the American border are criminals — and both mother and child deserve that fate — or that 14-year-old boys who survive the Holocaust are guilty of betraying fellow Jews when there is no evidence of such, you CANNOT wish that the people who traffic in such vile shit should crawl off and die of a fulminant venereal rash.
Slander is cool, brutality is acceptable. But the hyperbolic and comic hope that a just god might smite the slanderer or brutalizer with a deadly skin disorder is somehow beyond the pale. Die of boils, @jack.
