‘The Walking Dead’ season 4 preview: Spoilers, new characters, 2 new promos
The new promos for AMC’s The Walking Dead season 4 episode 9 offer a lot of Carl (Chandler Riggs) and few new plot points. A montage in the second promo (watch them below) just shows each of the main characters after the chaos from The Walking Dead mid-season finale.
Glenn is holding a light and looking for something in the dark. Maggie Greene looks upset. The promo ends with Carl shaking Rick and screaming “wake up.”
Wetpaint posted spoilers from comic books.
Rick and Carl are in a nearby house after the war. Carl’s father takes a heavy dose of antibiotics and he finds him unconscious and that explains the “wake up” scream. Later, Grimes meet Michonne on the way and they eventually find Maggie and Glenn and they head to Hershel’s farm. In the TV series version, Glenn and Maggie are not together.
Andrew Lincoln told Comicbook.com exclusively, “Just wait, all I will say is just wait for what this kid [Chandler Riggs] is going to do this season. He I think has done one of the best episodes certainly this season, and he kind of carries it. It’s beautiful what he’s done.”
Norman Reedus fans should be pleased with the second half of Season 4, as there will be a lot more Daryl. Just like with Carl, expect at least one episode, maybe two to focus almost exclusively on Daryl.
Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman has confirmed that Carol will return before the end of Season 4.
International Business Times shared some news that Morgan Jones (Lennie James) will be back and the new characters Rosita Espinosa, Sgt. Abraham Ford and Dr. Eugene Porter will appear in episode 10.
“I think the main thing to look at is that these are some very interesting and dynamic and explosive characters that will be breathing some new life into the show, which is something that all of our new characters do. They’re going to be pushing things in new directions. So they will definitely be an X factor that changes the dynamic of the show quite a bit. There’s cool things ahead with them,” said Robert Kirkman toEntertainment Weekly.
Andrew J. West will play the character of Gareth. He will appear as a guest star and Wetpaint speculates that he will become a series regular in season 5.
The Walking Dead Mid-Season Premiere airs on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at 9 PM ET on AMC.
